Calendar

The Social Studies Department will be celebrating United Nations Day on October 30, 2014 in the gymnasium. Social Studies Teachers are organizing the event, and will set-up a mini workshop/museum presentation for students in the gym. There will be 12 booths detailing the work of the United Nations. Each booth will educate students on the following topics:


Promoting Mental Health
Working for Peace, Promoting Human Rights
Combating Climate Change
Fighting Poverty
Assisting Refugees
Helping People with Emergencies
Feeding Hungry Populations
Vaccinating Children
Working to Prevent Conflict
Promoting Disarmament
Working for Primary Education for all
And more


All social studies teachers will bring their students to the gymnasium to view the booths. Model UN students will help during the day.
